The property is occupied during the work
On a long remodel where the family has stayed put, trades need somewhere to go that is not the house. An enclosed unit in the side yard is far easier for a homeowner to live beside for eight months than a standard one.

A trailer will not fit

How We Work
Quote on the phone, delivery in two days, weekly service on a fixed day, pickup when you say.
1. Picking the model
We ask about the guest count, how long people will be on site, whether there is a bar, and what the unit will be sitting next to. That determines whether one unit does it, whether you want two, and whether the extra cost of a trailer is actually justified.
2. Delivery and set
The unit is delivered on a flatbed and set on level ground, usually the day before the event. We fill the fresh-water tank, check the flush and the sink, charge the tank, and stock paper, towels and soap.
3. During the rental
For a single-day event you will not see us again until pickup. For multi-day rentals and long site hires we service on a schedule: pump, refill fresh water, restock, wipe down. On events we do that at the quietest hour we can agree on.
4. Collection
Picked up the next working day after the event, or on the monthly cycle for a site rental. The pickup is inside the price on both.
Unit Types And What Sits Above Them
What people mean by a luxury unit varies, so it is worth being specific:
Flushing units with a sink
The entry point. A recirculating flush toilet with a fresh-water tank, a foot-pump or pressurized sink, a mirror and interior lighting, in a single enclosed cabin. Suits parties, small weddings and residential sites, and handles roughly a hundred uses before it needs servicing.
VIP portable restrooms
The same footprint with a better finish: a vanity top, a coat hook, a shelf, improved ventilation and a solid interior lock. Widely used for film work, corporate events and open houses where one unit is set aside for a specific group of people.
Executive restroom units
The top of the single-cabin range, with a larger interior, a proper mirror and finishes closer to what you get inside a trailer. Where a trailer cannot be towed to the site, this is the closest equivalent that fits on a flatbed.
Two-cabin configurations
Two enclosed units delivered together and set as a pair, so you can label them separately or simply halve the queue. On events between roughly seventy-five and a hundred and fifty guests this is normally cheaper than a trailer and easier to place.
Accessible upgrades
Where an event needs both an upscale unit and an accessible one, the usual answer is an enclosed unit for general use alongside an ADA-accessible unit on a firm level pad. Many public events are legally required to provide the second one regardless of how nice the first is.
Luxury units versus restroom trailers
A trailer gives you more capacity, climate control and a genuine indoor feel, and it needs towing access, level ground and usually a power source. A luxury unit gives you most of the experience with none of the logistics. Above about a hundred and fifty guests the trailer wins on capacity alone; below that it is a question of access and budget.
Servicing during a long rental

What A Luxury Unit Costs
A single flushing enclosed unit for a weekend in Marin typically runs $250 to $500 delivered, set and collected. VIP and executive models sit above that, and a monthly site rental is priced separately. What moves the number:
- Which model. A flushing unit with a sink is the entry point; VIP and executive finishes step up from there. The gap between them is smaller than the gap to a trailer.
- How many units. Two enclosed cabins delivered together cost less than two separate deliveries, and on a hundred-guest event that pairing is usually the sweet spot.
- How long you keep it. A single Saturday, a full weekend and a month are three different prices. Long site rentals are quoted monthly with the servicing included.
- Whether it needs servicing mid-rental. A one-day event usually does not. Anything over two days, or a heavily used single day with a bar, is worth a mid-rental visit.
- Where it is going. Delivery is included across the nine towns we cover. Steep or narrow addresses take a smaller truck and more time, which shows up in the quote.
- When it is going. Summer Saturdays are the busiest days of our year, and the units that are still available in June for an August date are not always the ones you wanted.

What is the difference between a luxury unit and a standard porta potty?
A standard unit has an open holding tank, a vented seat and a sanitizer dispenser inside a molded plastic cabin. A luxury unit has a flushing toilet with its own fresh-water supply, a working sink, a mirror, interior lighting and a neutral enclosed exterior. Both are delivered the same way and need nothing from the site, but the experience inside is not comparable.
Do luxury portable restrooms need power or water?
No. Everything runs off onboard tanks and battery lighting, which is the main practical advantage over a trailer. That is what makes them the workable option on Marin hillside lots and canyon properties where towing a trailer in is out of the question.
How many guests can one unit handle?
Around a hundred uses between services, which in practice means one unit comfortably covers fifty to seventy-five guests at a four-hour event. Add a bar and that figure drops by roughly a third. For anything over about a hundred guests we would put two units in or talk to you about a trailer.
Are they available for winter and cold-weather events?
Yes. Marin rarely gets cold enough for a hard freeze, but units can be winterized with antifreeze in the tank where an event sits up on the ridge or inland during a cold snap. Some luxury trailers include heating; single cabins do not, so for a winter evening event a trailer is the better call.
Can you deliver to a steep or narrow property?
Usually. The unit arrives on a flatbed and gets set with a lift gate, so the requirement is truck access to within about twenty-five feet and a level spot to stand it on. We look at difficult addresses before the first delivery rather than sending a driver to find out.
How far ahead should I book?
For a summer Saturday in Marin, two to three months. Our upscale stock is finite and the good dates go early. Outside the May to October window, two or three weeks is usually enough, and we can often do better than that at short notice.
